Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for administering all aspects of the payroll and timekeeping functions. This role ensures multi-state compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations. This position is responsible for ensuring all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately. Providing excellent customer service to employees and monitoring strong internal controls.
Principle Responsibilities:
• Administers processing of organization's payroll and collects payroll data to maintain accurate and timely payroll records
• Handles processing of employee status changes, analyzes payroll and employee expenses,
• Maintains, updates and audits HRIS as needed.
• Creates on-going month-end, quarterly, and year-end organization reports
• Audits payroll information for accuracy.
• Reconciles payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions.
• Participates in problem solving and special projects related to payroll and the HRIS
• Attends to issues, resolutions and timing for all employee inquiries.
• Provides other support to Finance management including maintaining files and performs additional projects and assignments in support of Finance as required.
• Review and distribute W2s
• Assists with other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum 3 years prior experience in payroll processing
• Proficiency in using ADP’s payroll software
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and systems.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong expertise in organization, multi-tasking, common sense, and problem-solving.
• Proven attention to detail, quick turnaround times, and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, to be proactive, to work independently of day-to-day supervision.
